PROJECT BACKGROUND
Strong Partnerships
ALGOA is proud to have partnered with Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Limited (CABGOC) and its distinguished stakeholders in delivering the South N’dola wellhead platform. Collaborating with CABGOC, supported by Sonangol EP, TotalEnergies, and Azule Energy, we combined local expertise with the vision of global leaders in the oil and gas industry.
This strong partnership enabled ALGOA to deliver a project of exceptional quality, further solidifying Angola’s position as a key player in energy production. Further this not only demonstrates the strength of our collaboration but also highlights ALGOA’s commitment to driving innovation and excellence in Angola’s oil and gas sector, contributing to economic growth and sustainable development in the region.
The Project
This offshore platform is designed to enhance oil and gas production in the region. Fabrication of the platform commenced at Porto Amboim, Cuanza Sul province, and in Cabinda, marking a significant milestone in Angola's energy sector. The platform's integration with existing infrastructure underscores a commitment to leveraging local resources and expertise.
Project Overview
The South N'dola Platform
The South N’dola wellhead platform is a fixed-braced structure designed to operate in Angola’s offshore Block 0, one of the country’s most productive oil regions. It is located approximately 60 kilometers northwest of the Malongo Terminal in Cabinda, making it a vital addition to the region's energy production infrastructure.
The platform features 12 production wells and utilizes a monobore well design, a cost-effective approach to accessing the Pinda reservoir under primary depletion. It is connected to the Mafumeira platform, which processes the extracted fluids before transferring them into Block 0’s oil and gas transportation network. This integration ensures a seamless flow of resources to the Malongo Terminal and the Angola LNG plant in Soyo, bolstering both local and export markets.
